FAIRFIELD INN & SUITES BY MARRIOTT TALLAHASSEE CENTRAL, Tallahassee

Standard rooms come with one king or two queen beds, carpeted floors, and a bathroom with a shower or tub. Select suites add a mini-fridge, microwave, and a separate sitting area with a sofa bed and additional TV. The property is older, with some rooms showing signs of wear: stained carpets, older-style TVs, and firm mattresses that may creak. Air conditioning units can be loud and temperature control is limited. Rooms facing the main road may experience outside noise; requesting an interior-facing room is advisable for lighter sleepers. Daily housekeeping is not automatic; service occurs on a three-day rotation unless you request otherwise at the front desk. Laptops can be used at the work desk, and an alarm clock is provided. Some bathrooms lack hand soap and lotion; these are available upon request. Overall, the accommodation suits travellers who prioritise a clean, basic space over modern décor.

Breakfast runs from early morning until 9 or 10 AM depending on the day; offerings include scrambled eggs, sausage patties (including turkey), yogurt, fresh fruit, bagels, cereals, and a make-your-own waffle station. The breakfast staff is praised for keeping the buffet well-stocked and for accommodating dietary needs when possible. While the breakfast is generally appreciated for its variety and hot options, some items can be inconsistent in quality. There is no on-site restaurant for lunch or dinner; however, a 24-hour minimarket in the lobby stocks snacks and drinks. Numerous dining options are within walking distance along Apalachee Parkway, including sit-down restaurants and fast food. Planning a full dinner at a nearby restaurant is recommended for guests not wanting to drive.

Wi-Fi is free in all areas but requires signing in with a Marriott account; no guest-access option is available. Parking is free, private, and does not need a reservation, though spaces can fill when the hotel is busy. The 24-hour front desk handles check-in from 15:00 and check-out by 11:00; early check-in is possible if rooms are ready. Luggage storage is available for guests arriving before check-in or departing later. Laundry and dry cleaning are offered for an additional fee. An express check-in/out option is available. The business centre is an open area off the lobby, not a private room; meeting/banquet facilities can be booked for an extra charge. Pets are allowed with a fee and are housed in separate pet-designated rooms. The property is wheelchair accessible with ADA-compliant rooms, roll-in showers, and accessible parking. Elevators serve all floors. Security features include CCTV, key card access, and a safety deposit box. The hotel also provides a convenience store on site for essentials.
