TRU BY HILTON JACKSONVILLE WEST I 295, Jacksonville

The hotel sits adjacent to a gas station and truck stop, with vehicle access through the station's lot. This location is ideal for road trips: it's 13 km from Prime F. Osborn III Convention Center and Florida Theatre and about 30-35 minutes by car from the beach. The property is near several fast-food and casual dining options, and guests can easily reach Jacksonville Zoo Gardens and Museum of Science & History.

Double and quadruple rooms are available, each with air conditioning, heating, a tea and coffee maker, a TV with cable channels, a work desk, a compact refrigerator, and free toiletries. Rooms are small and designed for short stays; they lack closets (wall hooks are provided) and in-room microwaves (a single lobby microwave is available). The air conditioning uses a motion-sensor thermostat that turns off cooling when the room is unoccupied, which can lead to temperature fluctuations. Some rooms have reported good soundproofing from highway noise, but AC fan noise is occasionally noticeable.

Breakfast includes eggs, sausage, yogurt, bread, bagels, fruit, and a pancake machine. The offering is mostly carb-based, and the pancake machine has occasionally been out of order. Coffee and tea are available in the lobby. The property also has a minimarket on site with snacks and drinks. Nearby restaurants (from Arby's to Zaxby's) provide additional lunch and dinner options.

The outdoor swimming pool is open daily from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM and is equipped with pool/beach towels. The fitness centre includes modern equipment. For leisure, there is a games room with a pool table and board games, plus a shared lounge/TV area. The pool area has lounge furniture but has occasionally been used for smoking and drinking.

Free private parking is available on-site with accessible spaces and an electric vehicle charging station. WiFi is free in all areas. The 24-hour front desk can assist with check-in, luggage, and local recommendations. Other services include a business centre, laundry (additional charge), and a lift. The property is pet-friendly with a $75 flat fee per stay. Key card access, CCTV, and smoke alarms are in place for security. A designated smoking area is provided, and the entire property is non-smoking indoors.
