FEATHER FACTORY HOTEL, New York

The hotel sits in an industrial area of Long Island City, 4 km from New York and 6 km from Brooklyn. The nearest subway station is a 10-15 minute walk and provides access to the 7 and E lines, putting Manhattan within reach in under 30 minutes. LaGuardia Airport is 7 km away. While the surroundings are industrial and quieter outside peak hours, the immediate area has several dining options within a 1 km radius, including Gaw Gai, BIA Restaurant & Bar, and The Burger Garage. Walking back from the station late at night is not recommended by many due to low lighting and limited activity, making a ride-share or taxi a safer option after dark.

The hotel offers double rooms and quadruple rooms. Each room features air conditioning, heating, a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a seating area, a safety deposit box, and windows that open. All rooms have a private bathroom with a bath or shower. The quadruple room comes with 2 beds. Some rooms have high ceilings, which can make the space feel larger, but rooms are generally described as compact. Storage for luggage is limited to the room's safe; there is no wardrobe or extensive storage. The location directly adjacent to train tracks means substantial noise from trains throughout the night, with the sound amplified by the single-glazed windows. This makes the accommodation less suitable for light sleepers.

The property includes a single restaurant on the fifth floor that serves American cuisine for breakfast only. The breakfast is a buffet style served from 7:00 AM to 9:30 AM. It can be purchased at the front desk for $10.99 per person or on the fifth floor for $14.99 per person. The breakfast room offers views of the city. The food is prepared fresh, but during busy periods, wait times can be significant. Free coffee, tea, and water are available in the lobby throughout the day. A 24-hour minimarket in the lobby offers a range of snacks, drinks, and basic provisions for purchase. Several dining options are within a 1 km walk, including American and international restaurants.

Feather Factory Hotel does not provide a spa, wellness centre, or swimming pool. There is a rooftop terrace available, and an on-site minimarket offers snacks, drinks, and basic necessities.
