CITADINES CONNECT FIFTH AVENUE - TIMES SQUARE NEW YORK, New York

The hotel sits on 45th Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, placing it within a 3-minute walk of Times Square, a 5-minute walk of Grand Central Terminal, and a 10-minute walk of Bryant Park. The surrounding blocks are packed with shops, restaurants (including Carmine's, Hard Rock Cafe, Junior's, and many more within a half-mile radius), and access to multiple subway lines. The neighbourhood is a prime tourist and business district, but the immediate street is relatively quiet for Manhattan. Fifth Avenue shopping, Radio City Music Hall, and Central Park are all within a comfortable walking distance. The hotel is about a 45-minute drive from JFK Airport (traffic depending), and taxis or ride-shares are the only practical option as there is no airport shuttle.

Accommodation options include double rooms with one king bed or two double beds, and a one-bedroom suite with a separate sitting area. Room sizes are typical for New York City - compact - with limited storage space (4-5 hangers on a wall rack, no wardrobe or drawers). Suitcases may need to be stored on the floor or a small bench. The rooms are primarily designed for short stays: they include a desk and chair, a safe, a hairdryer, and free toiletries. The bathrooms are small and have either a shower or a shower over bath; some have a bathtub (request at booking). Windows do not open wide, and rooms facing the rear of the building have a view of an air shaft or a blank wall. The lighting is dim, with a single desk lamp and a bedside lamp - no overhead light. The wooden/parquet floors are modern and clean, but the curtains and some soft furnishings show wear. The air conditioning and heating are individually adjustable, though the internal units can be noisy. Sound insulation is limited: street-side rooms hear traffic, and internal rooms can hear hallway noise and neighbouring doors banging.

The breakfast is a pre-packaged bag delivered to your room (or collected from the lobby) containing a croissant or danish, a piece of fruit (banana or apple), a yoghurt, and a small carton of orange juice. Coffee and tea are available in the lobby throughout the day. This is a light, simple meal intended to start your day; there is no hot breakfast, no buffet, and no seating area for dining (you take the bag to your room or to the small lobby table). The hotel does not have a restaurant or bar, but the surrounding area is packed with dining options at all price points, from fast-casual to Italian (Carmine's), American (Hard Rock Cafe), and international cuisines all within a 5-minute walk. The continental breakfast is consistent and reliable for a quick start, but it is not a full meal.

There are no on-site wellness or leisure facilities beyond the 24-hour lobby seating area and free coffee/tea. For fitness, several chain gyms are within a 5-minute walk in Midtown, and Central Park is about 15 minutes away for running or walking. The hotel is well-suited for guests who prioritise location and use their room primarily for sleeping, rather than for resort-style relaxation.
