The location is one of the property's strongest assets. You are 5 minutes from St. Stephen's Green and the National Museum, 10 minutes from Grafton Street, and 15 minutes from Temple Bar and O'Connell Street. Dublin Castle is a 20-minute walk. The neighbourhood is safe and well-served by public transport: buses 38/38A stop opposite, and the Aircoach from Dublin Airport stops on Dawson Street (5-minute walk). Street parking is available on Fitzwilliam Street (paid weekdays, free weekends). Numerous restaurants and pubs are within a 2-minute walk, including Matt the Thresher, Chez Max, and FX Buckley. A Spar supermarket is directly opposite, and a Tesco is a few streets away. The central placement means you can easily walk to most of Dublin's cultural sites, making a car unnecessary.

Room types include single, double, triple, family (double + twin, sleeps 4), and quad (double + 2 singles, sleeps 4). All have a private bathroom (most with shower; one triple has a bath), free toiletries, hairdryer, LCD TV with cable channels, electric kettle, and central heating. No air conditioning; windows can be opened partially. No fridge in rooms, but a shared kitchen fridge is available. Quality varies: some rooms are spacious and well-maintained, while others are compact, especially in the basement and attic. Basement rooms tend to be dark, musty, and noisy from street activity. Road-facing rooms can be noisy from traffic and nearby pubs. Upper-floor rooms are quieter but require climbing four flights of stairs (no lift). Mattresses vary from comfortable to saggy. Shower pressure and bathroom size vary; some showers are very small. For a better experience, request an above-ground, interior room away from the street.
