Gardiner Lodge is located in Dublin city centre, 8 km from the airport. Connolly Train Station is a 4-minute walk, and O'Connell Street is 3 minutes away. Bus routes 41 and 700 (from the airport) stop a few minutes away, and a taxi from the airport costs 17-23 EUR. The area has numerous restaurants and pubs within 0.5 km, including The Celt and many others. The street is lively and can feel less secure at night, but the hotel is walkable to most attractions.

Room types include single, double, twin/double, triple, and family rooms, all with private bathrooms (shower and hairdryer). Superior rooms have a bathtub. Some rooms offer city, garden, or courtyard views. The building is a converted Georgian townhouse with a terrace and garden. Rooms are small, especially singles and some triples, so storage space is limited - there is no dresser or mini-fridge. Noise can be an issue: rooms near reception or the basement (e.g., Room 01) may hear hallway and street sounds, while rooms at the back are quieter. There is no air conditioning, but a fan is provided; rooms can become warm. The accommodation suits short stays and travellers who prioritise location over spaciousness.

Breakfast is included in the room rate and offers a choice between a continental buffet (breads, cheeses, ham, pastries, cereal, yoghurt) and a cooked Irish breakfast.
