FLEXSTAY INN SUGAMO, Tokyo

JR Sugamo station is a 6-minute walk from the hotel, providing direct access to the Yamanote Line (circular Tokyo route) and the Mita subway line. An 18-minute train ride reaches Tokyo Station; Ikebukuro is 5 minutes by train, and Otemachi is 15 minutes by subway. The neighbourhood is a quiet, residential area that feels safe even at night, yet is packed with convenience stores, supermarkets, and dozens of local restaurants - Yakitori Kushi King, Shogetsudo, and many others within a 5-minute walk. The area's shopping street near the station adds everyday convenience. The hotel entrance and reception are located in the basement, requiring stairs with luggage. No parking is available.

Rooms are available as singles (around 12 m2) or spacious twins, each with a private bathroom featuring a bath, shower, bidet, hairdryer, and slippers. The kitchenette includes a microwave, refrigerator, stovetop, and kettle; kitchen utensils can be rented. An electric kettle, flat-screen TV, air conditioning, heating, and yukata are provided. All rooms are smoking rooms and contain an ashtray; smoke from neighbouring rooms can drift into non-smoking-designated rooms. The property shows wear-and-tear - marks on walls, furniture, and carpets. Noise sensitivity can be an issue: sounds from adjacent rooms and the lift may be noticeable. Road-facing rooms or those near the lift can be louder. The bed in the single room is narrow; twin rooms have two separate beds. Upper-floor rooms are accessible by lift.

There is no restaurant at Flexstay Inn Sugamo. Breakfast may be available on select dates - check availability when booking. The immediate area is packed with restaurants and fast-food outlets: Yakitori Kushi King, Shogetsudo, Mizuno, and McDonald's Sugamo are all within a 5-minute walk. Several convenience stores (FamilyMart, 7-Eleven) and a nearby supermarket supply groceries for self-catering using the in-room kitchenette. The residential Sugamo area also has a shopping street with additional dining options. For travellers wanting to eat in, the kitchenette includes a fridge, microwave, and stovetop, and basic cooking utensils are available for rent.

Wi-Fi is free in all rooms. A coin-operated laundrette with washing and drying machines is available for guest use. A drink vending machine and a microwave are located in the hotel. Luggage storage can be arranged before check-in or after check-out (during reception hours 9:00-18:00), and luggage can be left for multiple days. Yamato parcel delivery is accepted for advance luggage shipping (label with reservation name and date). Fax/photocopying services are available for an additional charge. Daily housekeeping is not included but can be arranged at ¥3300 (must be requested 2 days in advance). Fresh towels cost ¥500 extra if not using the cleaning service. No pets are allowed.
