BEACONSFIELD HOTEL, London

The hotel sits above a pub on a main road in a busy area. Emirates Stadium is a 5-minute drive, Islington 10 minutes, and Alexandra Palace about 45 minutes on foot. Numerous restaurants - Izmir, Harran, Gokyuzu, Boon Noon Thai - are within a 5-10 minute walk. A shopping centre with supermarkets is directly across the road. Bus route 29 runs frequently to central London (35 minutes to Soho). The area offers a mix of shops and eateries, making the location practical for both events and daily needs.

Room sizes and layouts vary considerably; some are spacious, others very compact. Bathrooms are notably small - in some cases the toilet touches the door when closed. Decor and furnishings show wear: peeling wallpaper, stained carpets, broken furniture, and mould in bathrooms have been observed. Soundproofing is minimal; noise from the pub, street, and other guests is common. Triple rooms have one double and one single bed; some rooms have sloping ceilings. All rooms have heating but no air conditioning - a fan is provided in summer. Windows may not close fully. Bed quality varies: some are comfortable, others squeaky or with worn mattresses.

The hotel's pub serves drinks, including reasonably priced pints, and has a pool table, darts, and a juke box. For meals, numerous restaurants are within a short walk: Turkish, Thai, and other cuisines. Breakfast is self-serve - cereal and milk are left in the room, with tea/coffee making facilities. No hot breakfast is available. The room also includes biscuits. Guests who prefer a fuller breakfast may choose to eat at one of the nearby cafés or restaurants in the area.
