GIORGIO HOTEL, New York

The hotel sits in a quieter, industrial part of Long Island City, Queens, surrounded by auto repair shops and warehouses. The F line subway entrance is less than 100 metres away, providing direct, 24-hour service-Rockefeller Center and Times Square are about 15-20 minutes door-to-door. The area has limited dining options within walking distance; a few grocery stores and delis are nearby but the neighbourhood feels less developed at night. Walking to Manhattan across the Queensboro Bridge takes about 30 minutes. Roadside parking is difficult and ticketing is common. The nearest airport is LaGuardia (approx. 15 minutes by car), and JFK is accessible via the subway with one transfer.

All rooms have air conditioning, heating, a flat-screen TV, and free toiletries. Private rooms with a king or two double beds are compact but functional. Dormitories (4-bed mixed) use sturdy metal bunk beds; upper bunks lack power sockets-bring an extension cable. Road-facing rooms and those near elevators can be noisy. Some ceilings are unfinished painted concrete, which gives a practical rather than polished feel. Bathrooms are modern but small, with a walk-in shower. Daily housekeeping replaces towels and makes the bed but does not change sheets every day. Luggage storage is free for early arrivals and after checkout. The property has two lifts, though one is sometimes out of service.

The hotel has no dining facilities whatsoever. A vending machine in the lobby sells drinks and snacks, and bottled water is available for purchase. The area has a few takeaway options: Big New York Fried Chicken & Pizza (0.5 km), House of Thai (0.5 km), Sam Lee Kitchen (0.5 km), and The Good Fellas Pizzeria of LIC (0.5 km). A convenience store is about 150 metres away for basic groceries. For a wider selection or breakfast, most visitors eat in Manhattan before or after exploring.

The basement-level common area includes sofas, a large TV, a pool table, table football, and board games. An indoor children's play area is also present. There are no fitness, spa, or pool facilities. The lounge serves as a social hub and is open 24 hours, providing a practical space for relaxing or waiting before check-in or after checkout.
