GLORIA HOSTEL MILANO, Milan

The hostel is 3 km from CityLife and 3 km from San Siro Stadium, making it a practical base for concert or match attendees. The M1 metro line connects directly to the Duomo in about 20 minutes. A large 24-hour supermarket and several dining options, including Pizzeria Calafuria and Il Gastronomo Siciliano, are within a 5-minute walk. The location is quiet at night, but is 14 km from Milan Linate Airport and away from the city centre - public transport is essential for sightseeing.

Rooms are compact, typically housing 4-8 people, with lockers (bring your own padlock or buy one for €2.50) and reading lights with sockets by the bed. Bunk beds are standard; upper bunks have a ladder. Noise from squeaky beds and thin walls is a noted issue - light sleepers should bring earplugs. Rooms do not have keys, so the building entrance is via intercom. Some rooms have an ensuite bathroom, while others use a shared bathroom for multiple rooms. Windows are present but curtains may not darken the room fully.

The kitchen is compact, with limited seating, and is equipped for basic self-catering. For a wider choice, several restaurants are within a 5-minute walk, including pizzeria, sushi, and traditional Italian options. There is no breakfast service on-site, but the 24-hour supermarket nearby offers groceries and ready meals. Guests needing a fuller meal will find dining options in the surrounding area.

The property focuses on practical, budget accommodation without dedicated leisure amenities. The shared kitchen and the immediate neighbourhood's restaurants and supermarket provide the main entertainment and relaxation options. For leisure activities, public transport connects to Milan's city centre and sights.

The hostel provides free Wi-Fi in all areas, 24-hour security with smoke alarms and fire extinguishers, and daily housekeeping. Luggage storage is available for clients arriving early or after check-out (an extra fee applies for longer storage). Express check-in/check-out and private check-in/check-out are offered. A vending machine sells drinks and snacks. There is no parking on-site. Lockers are in the rooms but require your own padlock or a €2.50 purchase.
