GOLDEN MILANO HOTEL, Milan

The hotel is situated on a quiet street in a safe residential area, roughly 15 minutes by car or 30 minutes on foot from the city centre. Susa metro station (blue line) is 500 metres away, providing direct access to Duomo in about 3 stops. Tram 5 from Milano Centrale stops at Piazza Ferravilla, nine stops from the central station, making airport connections straightforward: public buses from Milan Central Station (opposite the tram stop) run every 10 minutes for about €5 per person. Linate Airport is 5 km away, approximately 20 minutes by car. Several restaurants, bars and a supermarket are within a 5-minute walk.

Room types include single, double/twin and triple configurations, each with a private bathroom featuring a shower, bidet and hairdryer. All rooms offer air conditioning, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, soundproofed walls, a safe, a wardrobe, and a private entrance with key access (not key cards). Some rooms have a balcony or terrace, while higher-floor units benefit from a quieter street view. Rooms vary in size, with some described as compact; the larger doubles and triples offer more space. A fridge is provided in every room, and a kettle can be requested from reception. Bedding consists of a bottom sheet and blanket (no duvet covers), and pillows are thin. Daily housekeeping is included, though some have noted that sheets and towels are not always changed daily. Noise between rooms can be significant due to thin internal walls and the lift shaft; rooms facing the street or on lower floors may also experience sound from outside or the cleaning team.

Breakfast is a continental or Italian-style buffet with sweet pastries, cakes, toast, packaged bread, cold cuts, cheese, coffee and hot drinks. The selection is limited, with no hot food, vegetables or fresh fruit; coffee is served by staff during peak hours. Breakfast cost was quoted at €10 per person by email but reportedly charged at €15 upon arrival. The breakfast room is on an upper floor and may cause noise from chair movement in the morning for rooms directly below. A bar and snack bar on site offer drinks and snacks, including wine and champagne at an additional charge. For a more varied morning meal, many guests prefer to eat at one of the cafés or restaurants within a short walk.

The hotel does not offer a pool, gym, spa, sauna or similar leisure amenities. The shared lounge/TV area provides a communal space to relax. For recreation, the immediate area is quiet but well-connected by metro and tram to Milan's main attractions, parks and cultural sites.

The 24-hour front desk provides express check-in/out, private check-in/out, luggage storage (free both before check-in and after check-out) and a locker room. Daily housekeeping is included, and towels are changed daily. Free public Wi-Fi is available throughout, although connectivity can be intermittent. On-site parking costs €15 per day (reservation required) and is secured behind a gate; the entrance is narrow, so larger vehicles may not fit. A private airport shuttle is available for €130 each way from Malpensa; public buses from the airport to Milan Central Station cost about €5 per person. Pets are allowed with no extra charge. Safety features include 24-hour security, CCTV in common areas, smoke alarms and a safety deposit box in each room. Business facilities include free fax/photocopying. Vending machines for drinks and snacks are on site. The lift serves all floors and is manually closed; accessibility is limited to rooms reachable by lift.
