GREEN HOUSE HOTEL, Barcelona

The hotel sits in a central neighbourhood, giving easy walking access to cultural venues: the Auditori and National Theatre are virtually on the doorstep, while Sagrada Familia and Ciutadella Park are each about 10 minutes away. Glories Shopping Centre is 500 metres away and the Born district is also within a 10-minute stroll. For public transport, Marina Metro Station (400 m) is three stops from Plaza Catalunya, and Estacio del Nord Bus Station is a 5-minute walk. The Monumental Bull Ring is 250 metres from the hotel. The area has numerous bars and restaurants within a short walk, including El Cafe Blau and Vic Braseria. The hotel is in the Barcelona ZBE low-emission zone, which affects vehicle access.

All rooms feature free Wi-Fi, heating, a flat-screen TV, and a private bathroom with shower and hairdryer. Some rooms have a minibar. Family rooms can sleep up to 5 with a mix of single beds, while quadruple rooms offer 3 or 4 beds. Twin rooms have two single beds that can be pushed together to form a double. Some rooms are duplex (two-level) with stairs, which may not be suitable for children, pregnant women, or those with mobility concerns. A few rooms have interior-facing windows or no external window (only a window to the corridor), which can let in hallway light and noise throughout the night. Road-facing rooms are subject to street noise; thin walls allow sound from neighbouring rooms and corridors. Rooms are generally described as clean but basic, with limited storage (no wardrobe). Air conditioning is available but has been reported to malfunction occasionally. Some rooms are small, with a compact bathroom.

Breakfast is served as a continental buffet. The hotel does not have its own restaurant or bar, which means all other meals and snacks must be sourced externally. There are many cafés and restaurants within a short walk, including El Cafe Blau and Bar Restaurante YAFFA (both 0.5 km away). For those wanting evening meals, a range of local eateries is within easy reach. The absence of an in-house restaurant means guests should plan dinner ahead, especially if arriving late. The vending machine offers limited drink options.

Wellness and leisure facilities are not available on site. The hotel's location is the main leisure asset - Sagrada Familia, Ciutadella Park, and the Born district are all within a 10-minute walk, and the beach at Barceloneta is easily reachable by metro. For guests wanting dedicated spa or pool time, many wellness centres are accessible in the city centre via public transport.
