HAMPTON INN CHATTANOOGA-NORTH, Ooltewah

Located 17 km from Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport and close to the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum (16 km) and Chattanooga Zoo (24 km), the hotel sits right on I-75. Highway noise is a known factor, particularly in rooms facing the interstate; choosing a room on a higher floor or the quieter side of the building improves sleep quality. Eight restaurants including Chinese, Mexican, and fast-food options are within a 0.5 km walk, making meal planning easy without driving. Parking is free and on-site with spaces large enough for trailers or RVs. The hotel is well-suited as an overnight stop for road trips rather than a base for extensive local exploration.

The free breakfast includes hot items such as eggs, sausage, and seasoned potatoes, alongside cold options like cereal, yogurt, and pastries. The breakfast staff is frequently noted for keeping the area well-stocked and clean. In the lobby, a 24-hour coffee station and a snack bar with vending machines provide additional grab-and-go options. There is no on-site restaurant for lunch or dinner, but eight restaurants are within a 0.5 km walk, including sit-down options like The Local Goat, offering a 10% discount for hotel guests, and fast-food outlets such as McDonald's and Taco Bell. This setup works well for road travelers needing a quick morning meal and evening options nearby.

The indoor swimming pool is heated and open year-round from 06:00 to 23:00, with a shallow end suitable for children. The adjacent hot tub is a popular feature, though its availability has been intermittent in some periods. The fitness centre includes basic cardio and strength equipment, adequate for a maintenance workout but not extensive. Both the pool and hot tub can be busy during peak times, especially with families, so planning a visit outside of prime hours may provide a quieter experience. The fitness centre is free to use.

Free public parking is available on-site with no reservation needed and includes accessible spaces for disabled guests. Daily housekeeping replenishes towels and room amenities; extra towels are available from the front desk. The property is wheelchair accessible with a lift and elevator to all floors. A 24-hour front desk offers express check-in and check-out, safety deposit boxes, and key card access. Additional services include laundry and dry cleaning, a minimarket for essentials, and a shared lounge with TV. Wi-Fi is free throughout, and a business centre provides fax/photocopying. The front desk can assist with luggage storage and local restaurant recommendations. Pets are allowed with applicable charges.
