HILTON GARDEN INN FREDERICK, Frederick

The hotel sits just off Interstate 270, giving quick access to Frederick's historic downtown district, which is filled with antique shops and restaurants. Nearby attractions include the Monocacy Civil War Battlefield, Antietam National Battlefield, and Gettysburg National Battlefield. A supermarket and several stores are within walking distance, as is a theatre complex. The location is well-suited for business travellers due to its proximity to the business district and easy highway connections. Ample, well-lit parking is available on-site.

Rooms typically include a separate seating area featuring a sofa bed, a microwave, a refrigerator, and a tea and coffee maker. The property offers quadruple rooms with two beds and double rooms with one king bed. Room layout varies-some have a hallway separating the living and sleeping areas, which can help reduce noise. While rooms are generally clean and comfortable, the hotel is showing its age; carpets, bathroom tile, and furniture often appear worn. Some rooms may have a musty smell or outdated decor. Lighting can be poor. The bathrooms feature tub/showers with one grab bar; some tubs have worn anti-slip surfaces, creating a slip risk. Several reports note issues with water temperature-either very hot or taking several minutes to warm up. Air conditioning is available but can be difficult to regulate, and some wall units may cycle cold air continuously. Noise from hallways and adjacent rooms can be an issue; request a room away from elevators and high-traffic areas for a quieter stay. Pillows are described as firm and filled with granular foam, which some find uncomfortable.

The on-site Great American Grill serves breakfast and dinner with an American menu in a family-friendly setting. Breakfast is available for an additional charge of $15 per person (buffet style). On weekdays, eggs can be ordered made-to-order, which is generally preferred over the weekend buffet. The breakfast selection includes pastries, oatmeal, cereal, and hot items. Dinner can be ordered at the bar, where the chef may deliver food directly to the table. The bar serves drinks and food, though it does not offer draft beer. The Pavilion Pantry convenience store sells snacks, drinks, and other essentials for in-room use. Several restaurants-including Kittiwat Thai Kitchen (0.5 km away) and an IHOP within a block-are also nearby.

Free public parking is available on-site with no reservation required, and an electric vehicle charging station is provided. Wi-Fi and wired internet are free throughout the property. The front desk is open 24 hours, and the property offers a business centre, meeting/banquet facilities, room service, and a safety deposit box. Laundry services are available for an additional charge. The hotel is wheelchair accessible. While the front desk staff is frequently praised as friendly and helpful, service consistency varies; some interactions have been described as rude or unhelpful. The elevator operates slowly. There is a minimarket on-site. No pets are allowed. The hotel accepts American Express, Visa, Diners Club, JCB, Discover, UnionPay, and MasterCard.
