HOTEL HIVE, Washington

Hotel Hive, Washington DC's first micro hotel, is in Foggy Bottom, a government and cultural hub near the riverside Kennedy Center. The hotel features original exposed brick, beams, clean white walls, and minimalist furniture. Each distinctive 125-250 square foot micro room comes with a private bathroom with a shower. Rooms feature Instagram-friendly quotes on the walls, such as 'Art is anything you can get away with'. Some rooms feature bunk beds, smart TVs for each bunk, individually controlled air conditioning, high ceilings, rustic beams, and exposed brick. Adapted rooms with roll-in showers are available on the lobby level. Buzz Rooms are located near the bar and &pizza shop; guests might experience noise disturbances.

Hotel Hive has three unique food and drink spaces in partnership with &pizza. The hotel's cosy lobby bar and buzzing rooftop bar both boast some of the cheapest craft cocktails in the city, made with locally produced liquors. Guests can order from &pizza for curbside pickup or contactless delivery. Daily breakfast service offers complimentary drip coffee from 6:00 AM to 10:30 AM, with breakfast food available from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM.

Hotel Hive includes a glass lift with a different colourful mural by a local artist on each level. Guests can use advance check-in via smartphone. A small library in the hive lounge encourages guests to stay awhile. Fitness on the Go program provides workout equipment and online workout videos for use during the stay. The hotel provides bike locks for street racks or complimentary bike parking at Columbia Plaza Parking across the street.

Hotel Hive is two blocks from the Foggy Bottom metro, which provides direct access to Ronald Reagan International Airport and the Smithsonian museums. Top tourist attractions near the hotel include the Kennedy Center and National Mall. Nearby attractions include the National Air and Space Museum and the Smithsonian's National Zoo. The hotel is surrounded by the National Museum of African American History and Culture, the National Air and Space Museum, and Smithsonian's National Zoo.
