HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS HOTEL & SUITES CHATTANOOGA-LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN BY IHG, Chattanooga

The hotel sits just off Interstate 24, making it a practical stop for road travellers. Lookout Mountain, including Ruby Falls and Rock City, is a few minutes' drive away. The Tennessee Aquarium and downtown Chattanooga are about 15 minutes by car. Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport is 21 km from the property. Several restaurants are within a short walk or 1-km drive, including Cracker Barrel, Waffle House, Logan's Roadhouse, and a Vietnamese cafe. The immediate area is safe and well-lit, which is useful for late arrivals.

The hotel offers family rooms and suites featuring a separate living room with a sofa bed. Each room includes a work desk, flat-screen TV, microwave, small refrigerator, tea and coffee facilities, and carpeted floors. Air conditioning and heating are standard. While the room layout provides generous space, the property is older and some units show signs of wear: torn window blinds, stained carpets, and worn-out mattresses have been noted. Light sleepers should request a room away from the highway to avoid traffic noise. Corner rooms offer extra natural light through multiple windows. Bed type preference is allocated upon arrival and cannot be guaranteed in advance.

Breakfast is included with the room and is served from 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM. The standard hot breakfast typically includes scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, biscuits and gravy, cinnamon rolls, oatmeal, fruit, and juice. However, during some periods the hot buffet is replaced by a to-go bag containing a muffin, yogurt, fruit cup, juice and water. The breakfast attendant is known for maintaining a clean, well-stocked area. When the hot breakfast is available, it is generally considered good for a free hotel meal. An on-site minimarket sells drinks, snacks and basic items. For meals later in the day, several restaurants are within walking distance.

The indoor swimming pool is heated and open year-round from 08:00 to 22:00. Sun loungers are provided around the pool. The water temperature has been described as sometimes chilly, and there are occasional reports of cloudy or green water, so it is worth checking with the front desk before planning a swim. The fitness centre is free for guests and includes basic cardio and strength equipment. Hiking and cycling opportunities are available off-site, with free hiking access nearby. Board games and puzzles are available for family entertainment.

Free private parking is available on site without a reservation, including accessible parking spots. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel. The 24-hour front desk can assist with late check-ins and luggage storage-useful for early arrivals or late departures. A business centre with fax/photocopying (additional charge) is available. Laundry service is offered at an additional cost. Daily housekeeping is provided for towel and trash service, but full room cleaning should be requested at the front desk if needed. Lift access is available to all floors. The hotel is partially accessible, but has been reported to not provide shower chairs or dedicated accessible tubs in every accessible room. Pets are allowed (dogs under 18 kg) for a USD 65 per night fee. Key card and key access, smoke alarms, and fire extinguishers are installed for safety.
