The Econo Lodge is 6 km from Dollywood and Dollywood Splash Country, a 21-minute drive from Gatlinburg, and 23 minutes from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The Pigeon Forge Mass Transit trolley stops nearby, providing convenient transportation along the Parkway and to Dollywood. Several restaurants, including Mellow Mushroom, Puckett's Grocery, and Blue Moose Burgers, are within a half-mile walk. The property's riverside location offers a peaceful setting with picnic tables and a fire pit. Exiting the parking lot onto the busy Parkway can be challenging during peak hours.

The hotel provides a variety of room types, including double rooms with one bed, queen rooms with two beds, king rooms with a sofa bed, and suites. All rooms have exterior entrances, meaning the walkway serves as an outdoor corridor (not a private balcony). Each room includes air conditioning, heating, ironing facilities, a desk, and a seating area. Handicap accessible rooms with roll-in showers are available but limited to king bed configurations. Select rooms feature in-room jacuzzi tubs. Room sizes are compact; some may find them smaller than portrayed. To minimize noise, consider requesting a room away from the pool and elevator.

Breakfast includes scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, waffles, oatmeal, and grits. On Saturdays, omelets are offered; on Sundays, bacon is added. The breakfast area is convenient but does not have a microwave for guests' use. Since the hotel lacks a restaurant, several dining options are within a short walk, including Puckett's Grocery & Restaurant, Mellow Mushroom, Blue Moose Burgers, and Little Tokyo, all within 0.5 km.

The pool area is open year-round and includes a shallow end for children. Towels are provided. On-site fishing for trout is available along the Little Pigeon River. A games room with a racing game and claw machines offers indoor entertainment. Outdoors, guests can use the fire pit, charcoal grills, picnic tables, and benches along the river. The pool is treated with chlorine; the chemical smell may be noticeable. Hiking opportunities are available at nearby trails.

Parking is free and does not require a reservation; however, trailers cannot be accommodated. Daily housekeeping is available upon request; contact the front desk each morning to be added to the list. Additional services include laundry (fee), business centre, meeting/banquet facilities, fax/photocopying, vending machines for snacks and drinks, and a shared lounge/TV area. The property has three elevators and offers wheelchair-accessible rooms with roll-in showers (king bed only). The front desk can hold luggage for early arrivals or late departures. No airport shuttle is available.
