HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS & SUITES - HENDERSON SOUTH - BOULDER CITY BY IHG, Henderson

The hotel sits adjacent to a casino and truck stop off I-15, making it a convenient base for exploring Lake Mead, Hoover Dam, Valley of Fire, and the Grand Canyon Scenic Airlines terminal (12 km from Boulder City Airport). It offers a quiet alternative to the Las Vegas Strip while still being a 20-minute drive from the Strip. Dining options are limited to the casino's steakhouse and bar immediately next door; more restaurants and shops are a short drive in Henderson or Boulder City. The Clark County Heritage Museum is nearby. The shared parking lot with the casino can be busy, especially at peak times, and some parking spots require a short walk to the hotel entrance.

Rooms are available with a king bed or two queen beds, and Queen Suites include a sofa sleeper that can accommodate up to six people - note that the 'suite' is a single room with a sofa sleeper, not a separate bedroom. Bathrooms have walk-in showers (some with tubs) and multi-use dispensers for soap, shampoo, and lotion. Storage is limited to a small closet and two floor-level drawers; there are no nightstand drawers. Air conditioning works effectively even in extreme heat. For a quieter stay, request a top floor room away from the elevator; road-facing rooms can be noisier due to passing traffic. Soundproofing is generally adequate, but door slamming can be an issue. Some rooms may have a cigarette smell; staff can address this.

The breakfast spread also includes French toast sticks, potatoes, bagels, pastries, oatmeal, and heart-healthy options. A breakfast-to-go option is available for early departures. The breakfast area can become crowded, especially on weekends and when the hotel is fully booked, and hot items may run out if you arrive after 8:00 AM. The hotel does not have a restaurant for lunch or dinner, but a snack bar sells drinks, packaged snacks, and microwaveable items. A 24/7 coffee station is available in the lobby. The adjacent casino offers a steakhouse and a bar/grill for other dining needs.

Wi-Fi is included and reportedly reliable. Parking is free on-site (no reservation needed) and includes accessible spots and an electric vehicle charging station. The 24-hour front desk offers express check-in/out, luggage storage, and safety deposit boxes. A minimarket on site sells drinks and snacks. Business facilities include a free business centre with fax/photocopying; meeting/banquet rooms are available for a fee. The hotel is wheelchair accessible with grab rails, raised toilets, and Braille/tactile signage. Guest laundry is available. Security features include 24-hour CCTV, key card access, and smoke alarms. Only certified service dogs are accepted.
