HOMEWOOD SUITES BY HILTON CHICAGO DOWNTOWN - MAGNIFICENT MILE, Chicago

Millennium Park and Navy Pier are within 3 km, and Lake Michigan beach is a 15-minute walk. The hotel is attached to a Chipotle, with numerous restaurants and cafes within 0.5 km, including Gino's East, Grand Lux Cafe, and The Signature Room. Public transport is convenient: bus stops are across the street and the Red Line L train is a short walk away. For those without a car, the location is ideal for exploring the Magnificent Mile and downtown attractions on foot.

Room types include king suites and one-bedroom suites, some with city or lake views (floors 20+ recommended for guaranteed views). Each suite includes a kitchen with a two-burner stovetop, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and dining table. Bathrooms are standard with tub/shower combinations. While the rooms are spacious and functional, the property shows signs of age with older carpets, wallpaper, and fixtures in some units. Sofa beds are comfortable, and daily housekeeping is available upon request. Light sleepers may prefer higher floors away from elevator noise.

The breakfast buffet features an American-style spread with items like scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon, hash browns, waffles, yogurt, cereal, and fresh fruit. During peak hours (7:00-9:00) the dining area can be crowded, so arriving early helps. An evening social with snacks and drinks is offered on Wednesdays from 17:00-19:00. For other meals, the surrounding area offers many dining options within walking distance, including deep-dish pizza at Gino's East and fine dining at The Signature Room.

Free basic Wi-Fi is available in public areas and in-room; a premium upgrade costs $4.95/day. Pets are allowed with charges. The hotel is wheelchair accessible with lifts. Other services include a safety deposit box, express check-in/out, laundry (additional charge), and a vending machine for snacks. Daily housekeeping is provided upon request. The three elevators serve 40 floors and can have long wait times during busy periods (peak waits up to 20 minutes), so allow extra time or take the stairs for lower floors.
