HOMEWOOD SUITES BY HILTON MONTREAL DOWNTOWN, Montreal

The hotel sits on Boulevard St-Laurent, directly adjacent to Chinatown and within a 10-minute walk of Old Montreal, the Montreal Convention Centre (600 m), Place des Arts (less than 1 km), and Clock Tower Beach (18-minute walk). The Bell Centre is about 20 minutes on foot. Two metro stations are nearby, and the 747 bus from YUL airport stops within the area. There is a large homeless mission across the street; the immediate area is busy and felt less safe by some visitors. The Christmas market at Place des Arts is a 15-minute walk away. Numerous restaurants, bars, and supermarkets are within a short walk.

The hotel offers studio and one-bedroom suites (e.g., King Studio ~36 m²) and family rooms with two queen beds plus a sofa bed. All units include air conditioning, a tea and coffee maker, a flat-screen TV with cable channels, ironing facilities, and a safe. The full kitchen features a stovetop, refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave. Many suites have a balcony. Rooms on the St-Laurent and highway side can be very noisy due to traffic, rooftop fans, and slamming doors-light sleepers should request a quieter side. Some rooms have California king beds fitted with standard king sheets that may not stay in place. Housekeeping service is not always daily; requesting it at reception is advised. Kitchens have bright appliance lights that can be visible from the bed at night.

Breakfast is available for an additional charge as a continental and buffet spread that includes eggs, sausage, bacon, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, breads, a waffle station, and a burrito/taco station. The breakfast room serves both the Homewood Suites and the adjoining Hampton Inn, which can lead to crowding and waits for tables, especially after 7:30. Dinner is served at Tiramisu, a modern restaurant offering Italian and Japanese cuisine. The hotel provides 24-hour coffee and tea in the lobby. The location in Chinatown and the surrounding area offers dozens of additional restaurants and bars within a short walk.

The hotel provides 24-hour reception and security, along with luggage storage, lockers, and express check-in/out. A business centre and meeting/banquet facilities (available for an additional charge) are on site. Dry cleaning is offered. A minimarket is located in the lobby. The in-room washer/dryer is appreciated by families and longer-term visitors. The property has an elevator, handicap-accessible rooms with grab rails and roll-in showers, and facilities for disabled guests generally. Free WiFi is available in all areas, but it can be intermittent. Parking is in an underground public garage (Indigo) at CAD 32/night, with a 6'8" height limit and no reservation needed. An electric vehicle charging station and accessible parking spots are available. Safety features include key card access, CCTV, smoke alarms, and a safe deposit box.
