HOSTAL DULCINEA, Madrid

Hostal Dulcinea sits on a quiet side street in the arts neighbourhood, steps from the Prado Museum, Retiro Park, and the Puerta del Sol. The area is filled with tapas bars, restaurants, and shops. Anton Martín metro station is a few minutes away, and Atocha railway station is about 10-15 minutes on foot. The Express bus to the airport stops nearby, making car-free access simple. Despite its central location, the street remains peaceful at night.

Rooms are basic but clean and comfortable, with quality linen, comfortable beds, and practical amenities. Each room includes a safe, free toiletries, heating, and an electric kettle. Mini fridges are available in some rooms. Street-facing rooms on the side street remain surprisingly quiet, but guests preferring absolute silence may request an inner-facing room. The property has a lift to the second floor. Daily housekeeping and towel changes are provided.

A café directly beneath the hostal serves affordable breakfast options and coffee. The neighbourhood is rich with dining choices: Parrilla El Barril, Terramundi, Taberna La Dolores, and many other tapas bars are within a few minutes' walk. For a wider selection, the Puerta del Sol area is about a 10-15 minute walk away. Rooms include an electric kettle with complimentary tea and coffee.

The hostal does not have a spa, swimming pool, or gym. The surrounding area offers Retiro Park for walking, jogging, and boat hire, and the art museums provide extensive cultural leisure options.
