Rooms are compact - some measure just 2.5 x 2.5 metres - and can be tight for four people with luggage. Bed configurations may include four single beds lined wall-to-wall, making some beds accessible only from the foot end. Air conditioning is available, but some units have poor cooling or share a single remote. Soundproofing (double-glazed windows, soundproof walls) reduces street noise, but the ground-floor discotheque and hallway sounds (parquet floors amplify footsteps) remain disruptive. Rooms facing the street are noisiest; rooms on internal patios may be quieter but darker. Some rooms lack a window or have a very small window facing an internal lightwell.
