HOTEL ADA, Milan

The hotel is on the second floor of a building directly opposite the central station, with the Malpensa Airport shuttle stop practically at the door - ideal for train and air travel. The metro (lines M2 and M3) is 100 metres away, and tram lines run nearby, making the Duomo reachable in about 15 minutes. Corso Buenos Aires shopping street is 1 km away. The neighbourhood is busy but secure, with the Mercato Centrale food market, multiple cafés, restaurants and a Carrefour Express all within a 5-minute walk. The area is considered safe for solo travellers, though street noise is part of the setting; rooms overlooking the internal courtyard offer a quieter alternative. For daytime exploration, everything is walkable or a short metro ride away.

The room stock includes single, double, twin and superior single options. Double rooms guarantee a large 160x200 cm bed and can accommodate one or two adults. Superior singles offer more floor space and a larger bathroom than standard singles, using twin bedding but sold for single use only. All rooms come with free toiletries, a hairdryer and fresh towels changed daily. Some rooms feature a balcony with views of the central station. The property is dated in style but kept clean; rooms have high ceilings and ample wardrobe space. Bed firmness and pillows can be quite hard - less suited to those who prefer a softer mattress. Noise is the main variable: street-facing rooms can be loud day and night due to buses and trams, while courtyard-facing rooms are noticeably quieter. Heating follows a seasonal central schedule (from 15 October), and a few hours of air conditioning are available in summer during late evening only - not adjustable per room. The lift serves all floors.

The hotel has a bar on site where drinks are available, but there is no breakfast service or full restaurant. For morning meals, nearby cafés and bars are open from early; the Mercato Centrale inside the station offers a wide variety of food stalls from 07:00 until late. Within a 3-minute walk you will find pizzerias, kebab shops, Italian restaurants and a Carrefour Express for self-catering. Many travellers find the lack of on-site breakfast no disadvantage given the convenience and quality of the surrounding options.

The hotel does not feature a pool, spa or fitness centre. Guests seeking wellness amenities would need to look at larger full-service hotels or use city-based facilities nearby.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the building and reliable enough for work use. Reception is staffed during daytime hours; after 01:00 the building is locked until 05:00 with no entry possible. Luggage storage is free for registered guests, available before check-in from noon and after check-out on the same day. Daily housekeeping is included, with towel changes every day. The property is secured with CCTV, key-card access, a security alarm and fire extinguishers. An iron and small ironing board are available. Safety deposit boxes are provided in rooms free of charge. There is no parking and no airport shuttle service. Pets are not allowed. The hotel is adults-only - children cannot be accommodated.
