HOTEL ARCOBALENO SIENA, Siena

The hotel sits on a main road with easy access both to the historic walls (about 2 km away) and surrounding Tuscan roads. Walking to Piazza del Campo takes roughly 25-30 minutes, while the bus stop at the gate shortens the trip to 10 minutes. The central bus and train terminal is also within walking distance, but note there is a steep hill on the route - using the nearby escalators is recommended when carrying luggage. For car travellers, the free 24/7 monitored parking is a major advantage, and the neighbourhood is considered safe. Several restaurants and a good pizzeria are within a short walk. The location is well suited for exploring Siena and the wider Tuscany region.

The hotel offers single, double, and triple rooms, each with a private bathroom featuring a shower, bidet, and hairdryer. In-room amenities include air conditioning, soundproof walls, flat-screen TV, minibar, electric kettle, and a dressing room. While most rooms are described as comfortable and spacious enough, a minority - particularly in the annexe - can feel small. The annexe rooms may also have windows facing the main road, which can be noisy at night. Ground-floor rooms in the annexe avoid stair issues for bicycle travellers. The property is kept clean and well-maintained, and daily housekeeping is included. Some rooms in the main building offer garden views and a more peaceful setting.

Breakfast offers an impressive spread: bread, pastries, cold cuts, cheese, eggs, cereals, cakes, fruit, yoghurt, and hot drinks from a machine. The buffet is served between 07:30 and 10:00 in a bright sunroom or garden room with pleasant views. Gluten-free options are available. In the evening, a restaurant operates below the hotel (not part of the hotel itself) and is highly rated for its food. The hotel bar and snack bar provide lighter options, and the staff are happy to recommend nearby restaurants and even make reservations. For self-catering, an electric kettle and tea/coffee are provided in the room.

Outdoor spaces include a garden with outdoor furniture, a picnic area, and a sun terrace - ideal for unwinding with a drink or snack. For those wanting to explore Siena and the Tuscan countryside, the hotel rents standard bicycles at 5 EUR per person per day and can organise e-bike rentals and guided bike tours at varying costs (bookable at check-in). Walking tours and other local culture classes are also available for an extra charge. Happy hour events are occasionally held. The property does not have a fitness centre, swimming pool, or spa.
