HOTEL ALSER, Vienna

The U6 underground station is a 1-minute walk from the hotel entrance, providing direct connections to the city centre, the Stadthalle arena (3 stops), and the AKH (Vienna's major hospital) in about 10 minutes on foot. Tram and bus stops are also right outside, making car-free exploration easy. Several restaurants, cafés, and a McDonald's are within a 300-metre radius. The property sits on a busy main road, so street-facing rooms can be noisy, particularly with traffic and metro sounds. The historic centre, including St. Stephen's Cathedral and the Imperial Palace, is a pleasant 10-minute walk away.

Room types include double, twin, triple, and single options, all featuring a private bathroom with shower and hairdryer. An electric kettle and a few tea bags are provided. Triple rooms offer an inner courtyard view and are generally quieter. Rooms facing the main road can be noisy when windows are open, and there is no air conditioning. A stand-alone fan is available in warmer months. Sound-insulating windows are fitted in some rooms to reduce street noise. The carpeted floors and older furniture mean that some rooms show wear, but clean bedding and comfortable mattresses are consistently reported. For a quiet stay, request a courtyard-facing room. The lift is small and operates with a key.

Breakfast is not included in the room price and is only available if you select it when booking. The breakfast offering is a simple continental buffet with bread, pastries, hot drinks, and a limited selection of cold items. Some days the selection may run out by around 08:45, so arriving early is advisable. Free coffee is available in the lobby in the morning. No restaurant or bar operates on site, but several bakeries, cafés, and fast-food outlets are within a 2-minute walk, including McDonald's and a pizzeria just 300 metres away.
