Room sizes are small by international standards, with minimal space for luggage and movement. The en suite bathrooms are similarly compact; some have a shower-over-bath combination. Sound insulation between rooms is very limited, so noise from neighbouring rooms is common. The building has no elevator - guest rooms are reached by steep carpeted spiral stairs (up to 5 floors). Windows are present in all rooms, but many overlook adjacent walls or courtyards. Heating is available but temperature control can be inconsistent (some rooms run cold in winter, while upper-floor rooms can become very hot in summer; the only cooling is a portable fan). Room condition varies: some have older furniture, worn carpets, and dated fittings, while others are tidier. Towels are provided, but toiletries are not replenished daily unless requested. Family rooms offer larger floor space with two double beds.
