The hotel sits in a lively university quarter near the Rhône riverbanks. Place Bellecour is 10 minutes on foot, and Rue Mercière with its restaurants is a short walk. Medieval Vieux Lyon and Fourvière viewpoint are easily reached via metro D (Guillotière, 5 minutes). For airport transfers, the Rhône Express to Part-Dieu station connects to tram T1 (stop Rue de l'Université). A Lidl supermarket is directly opposite, and many bakeries and eateries are within 2 minutes. The immediate streets can feel less secure after dark, particularly for solo travellers, but public transport makes movement practical.

Decor and furnishings show signs of age, with worn carpets and dated fixtures. Some rooms measure up to 23.5 m2 and include a desk, wardrobe, telephone and work area. Street-facing rooms can be noisy; interior courtyard rooms are noticeably quieter. No air conditioning is available - a standing fan is provided. WiFi signal may be weak on higher floors. Alternatively, street parking may be available but can require a 15-minute walk to safer areas. The 24-hour reception allows late check-in and early check-out without issues.
