HOTELO LYON AINAY, Lyon

Located near the city centre and old town, the hotel sits at the southern end of the Presqu'île peninsula, making most major sights walkable within 15-20 minutes. The area provides direct access to the T1 tram line and several bus routes, with the Rhône Express airport shuttle accessible from Part-Dieu station. Paid underground parking is available opposite the hotel. Nearby streets contain a variety of restaurants and cafés, including Chez Micheline and several options within a 5-minute walk. Some areas around the station can feel busy, particularly at night, so planning routes in advance is recommended.

The breakfast buffet includes breads, pastries, cheeses, cold meats, eggs, yogurt, fresh fruit, and hot drinks. The breakfast room is sunny and well-decorated. Coffee is available from a coffee house on site as well. The hotel does not have a restaurant, but the surrounding area offers a wide range of dining options within a short walk, including several Mediterranean and Latin restaurants and a well-regarded local bistro (Chez Micheline). A bar/lounge area is available on the property for informal drinks.

Guests receive a warm welcome from helpful, multilingual staff who can provide city maps, dining recommendations, and transport advice. The reception is staffed 24 hours, allowing flexible check-in even after midnight. Luggage storage is available for free before check-in and after check-out. Daily housekeeping keeps rooms clean, though servicing frequency can vary. The property offers express check-in/check-out and a business centre with fax/photocopying services. Accessibility features include lowered bathroom sinks, raised toilets, grab rails, and wheelchair-accessible rooms. On-site security includes 24-hour staff, smoke alarms, key access, and a security alarm. Parking for €25/day is available at a nearby public car park, but a discounted rate of €17/day is offered when paid at reception. Note that the car park is off-site and reservation is not possible.
