HOTEL FIDELIO, Munich

Hotel Fidelio is 300 meters from Theresienwiese U-Bahn station, served by two lines and fully wheelchair-accessible. Munich Hauptbahnhof is a 10-minute walk away, and Marienplatz is 15-20 minutes on foot or one U-Bahn stop. The Oktoberfest site is a 5-10-minute walk. The central bus station is also nearby, and the Messe München expo centre is reachable in about 20 minutes via underground. A supermarket is within 5-10 minutes on foot. While the immediate area has construction works, the neighbourhood is quiet and safe at night.

The breakfast buffet includes bread, sweet buns, cereals, cakes, jams, yogurt, fruit juice, filter coffee, and hot items such as scrambled eggs. The selection is decent and regularly replenished. The hotel does not have a restaurant or bar, but several eateries are within a 300-500-metre walk, including Bavarian, international, and casual options. A Lidl supermarket is also nearby for self-catering supplies.

Leisure facilities are limited to the rooftop terrace and the immediate area's walking paths. The absence of on-site wellness amenities makes the property best suited for guests who plan to spend their time exploring the city or attending Oktoberfest. The terrace offers a space to relax outdoors when weather permits.

Wi-Fi is free of charge throughout the hotel. Private underground parking costs €18 per day and must be reserved in advance - access is via a car elevator and spaces are tight. Luggage storage is available before check-in and after check-out. The hotel has a lift, but the entrance from the street involves several steps; using the back entrance near the parking area improves accessibility. Cots are available on request, and guests can borrow a kettle or iron from reception. An ATM is located on site. No pets are allowed.
