HOTEL FIORITA, Florence

The hotel sits on a quiet street just behind the main train station, providing direct rail access across Tuscany and a tram link to Florence Airport for €1.70 per person. The central market, San Lorenzo Market, Accademia Gallery, and Duomo are all within a casual 10-15-minute walk. The Palazzo dei Congressi conference centre is 50 metres away and the Fortezza da Basso exhibition halls are 100 metres away, making it a strong choice for business visitors. Numerous restaurants, bars, and supermarkets are within a few minutes' walk.

Room types include single, double, twin, triple, and quadruple configurations, plus economy rooms with simpler furnishings. Many rooms are spacious with tiled floors and high ceilings, though some are compact. A balcony with partial Duomo views is available in certain rooms but is not guaranteed unless specifically confirmed at booking. Road-facing rooms can experience street noise; interior rooms are quieter. The hotel operates on the 3rd or 4th floor of a shared building; a vintage lift serves the building but requires climbing about 10 stairs from street level. Some upper-level rooms are accessible only via additional narrow stairs.

Reception is staffed from 07:00 to 00:00 and can help with restaurant recommendations, ticket bookings, and tours. Luggage storage is free before check-in and after check-out, and bags can be held for up to one day between stays. Pets up to 10 kg are allowed on request at no extra charge. A laundry facility is not on-site, but several are available nearby. Walking tours and wine/champagne are available for an additional charge. The hotel provides a fax/photocopying service and invoices.
