The hotel is in the Oltrarno district, on a quiet street a minute from Ponte alle Grazie. The historic centre, Uffizi Gallery, Duomo, and Santa Croce (600 m) are all within a pleasant 10-15 minute walk. Piazzale Michelangelo is also easily reached on foot. Buses 13, 23, D, and C stop nearby, and the C4 bus from Santa Maria Novella station stops at 'Hotel Silla, Ponte alle Grazie'. By car, exit the A1 at Firenze Sud and follow Lungarno Ferrucci; the hotel is outside the ZTL, so you can drive directly. A taxi from the airport costs about €28-30 and takes 30 minutes; the train station is a 10-minute taxi ride away.

Rooms range from single to quadruple, with Premium rooms up to 25 m2 featuring natural wood, brass, and stone finishes. All rooms are non-smoking, soundproofed, and have air conditioning, heating, satellite TV, minibar, and a safe (small, suitable for a laptop or smaller items). Premium and Superior rooms add an electric kettle, bathrobe, and courtesy kit. Some rooms overlook the Arno or the quiet street. The family-run decor is classic Florentine; some rooms have been renovated and may have a modern look, while others feel older. Reports note that towels are thin (consider bringing your own). Rooms near the breakfast area can be noisy from 7:30 am. Apartments are available: the split-level 'Renai al Loggiato' in the same building, and 'San Niccolò alle Mura' 150 m away (second floor, no elevator), both with kitchen and WiFi.

Breakfast is available for €16 per person from 7:30 to 10:00 am. It includes pastries, eggs, meats, cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt, pancakes, and honeycomb. You can eat in the antique-furnished dining room or on the rooftop terrace with Arno views. The bar serves international cocktails and snacks; free self-service tea, coffee, and sweets are available in the bar area from morning until 5 pm. There is no restaurant on site, but several bars and trattorias are within a short walk in the Oltrarno neighbourhood.

The large rooftop terrace is furnished with seats and sunshades, offering panoramic views of the Arno and Florence. Flowering trees provide shade in summer. It is a popular spot for breakfast, an afternoon coffee, or a quiet drink before dinner. The hotel also has a secure bike storage room in the private garage, suitable for bicycles or bike boxes, ideal for cycling tours. There is no spa, pool, or gym on site.

The hotel offers free Wi-Fi in all rooms. The 24-hour front desk can arrange taxi transfers, airport shuttle (paid), and concierge services.
