Major railway stations are very close: Gare du Nord is 5 minutes away by train, Saint-Lazare about 15 minutes on foot, Gare de Lyon and Gare de l'Est each about 15 minutes. From Charles de Gaulle airport, take the Roissybus to Place de l'Opéra (about 1 hour); from Orly, take Metro line 14 to Madeleine station. A Pret A Manger, a pharmacy and a supermarket are right next door, and the area is packed with restaurants, cafés and shops. The street itself can feel busy, but many rooms facing the inner courtyard are very quiet.
