The hotel sits in a Haussmannian building directly facing Gare du Nord, providing immediate access to national and international rail services. Gare de l'Est Metro Station is 600 metres away, connecting to the Louvre and Latin Quarter. The lively Montmartre district, with Sacré-Cœur, is within a 15-minute stroll. Hop-on hop-off bus stops are across the street, and numerous restaurants, bakeries, and supermarkets are within a few blocks. The area is well-lit and busy, but some side streets feel less secure at night. For car travelers, paid parking is available nearby but requires advance reservation.

Standard double rooms have soundproofed walls, but road-facing rooms can be noisy due to single-glazed windows. Air conditioning is available in all quadruple and superior double rooms, but only in some standard doubles. Rooms are small with limited storage-no fridge, kettle, or coffee maker, though a kettle can be borrowed from reception. Daily housekeeping is provided, and towels are changed regularly. The beds are generally comfortable, though pillows are small and soft. A lift is available but is very compact (fits one person with luggage) and some steps remain to reach rooms on the same floor. Courtyard rooms are quieter.

Breakfast includes bread, pastries, cereal, eggs, yogurt, and hot drinks. The setting is atmospheric with medieval décor, but the selection is basic and does not include hot dishes like bacon or sausages. No other meals are served on site-there is no restaurant or bar. Wine and champagne are available at the hotel for an additional charge.
