The ferry terminal to Cozumel is about a six- to seven-block walk. The area is central for bars, restaurants, shops, and nightlife; however, rooms facing the street can experience noise from nearby clubs and early-morning restaurant activity.

The Mayan Corner restaurant (open for breakfast and lunch) offers traditional Mexican cuisine as well as international options, with a family-friendly atmosphere.
