HOTEL PENSION ODIN, Berlin

The pension is set in Berlin's calm, residential Weissensee area, a 5-minute drive from the lively bars and restaurants of Prenzlauer Berg. The M4 tram stop, 1 km away, reaches Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt in about 15 minutes. A bus stop is right outside the building. The area is well served by supermarkets (Lidl, Netto) within a 10-minute walk, plus several takeaway and sit-down restaurants (Dynasty Chinese, Fellini Pizza, Langhansgrill) within 500 metres. Lake Weissensee and the Berlin-Weissensee Jewish Cemetery are a 20-minute walk. Free street parking is available nearby, but spaces can be scarce in the evening; secure motorcycle storage is provided at no cost. Berlin Schönefeld Airport is a 20-minute drive away.

Accommodation ranges from single and twin rooms to apartments. Rooms are classically furnished and bright. Many include a private bathroom with shower, hairdryer and toiletries; some budget rooms have a shared bathroom on a different floor. Rooms facing the main road can be very noisy, while courtyard-facing rooms are quiet. Windows provide limited sound insulation. There is no air conditioning; a fan is provided. The building has five floors with no lift - rooms on upper floors involve stairs. Beds are generally comfortable, though some mattresses are soft or have uneven support. Room amenities include a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a kettle with tea/coffee supplies, and a mini fridge in many units. The apartment offers a kitchen with two stoves, basic utensils, and a balcony. Heating is available, but some rooms have reported noisy pipes or inconsistent warmth. Some rooms have been recently renovated and are clean, while others show wear. Storage space can be limited.

A daily breakfast is available in the pension's breakfast room. The surrounding area is well supplied with dining options within 500 metres, including China Restaurant Dynasty, La Bandida, Fellini Pizza, and the Mediterranean-Turkish Langhansgrill (open daily 10:00-22:00). Several supermarkets (Lidl, Netto) and takeaway spots are close by. A popular kebab shop and a grill house are next door. There is no on-site restaurant or bar for dinner, making the immediate vicinity practical for evening meals and grocery shopping.

Leisure options are based around the neighbourhood. Lake Weissensee is reached on foot in 20 minutes, providing an outdoor recreation space. The pension lists several activities available in the vicinity: billiards, bowling, cycling, karaoke, movie nights and pub crawls. No on-site wellness facilities such as a pool, spa or gym are present. The quiet residential area is suitable for walks and cycling.
