IBIS SALAMANCA, Salamanca

The hotel sits opposite a large park ideal for morning walks or exercising pets. Salamanca's iconic Plaza Mayor and the historic quarter are within a 10-minute stroll, though the return involves a slight uphill gradient. The A66 motorway is easily accessible, making the hotel a practical stopover for long-distance travel. Nearby streets offer numerous tapas bars and restaurants, with options like Samir, El Mirador de Baco, and Cafeteria Restaurante San Antonio within a 5-minute walk.

Rooms are compact and practical, designed with a prefabricated bathroom module (plastic/fibreglass) that maximizes space but may feel cramped. Some rooms overlook the park. Bed configurations include double or twin beds; family rooms accommodate up to three guests, though no quadruple rooms are available. Noise levels vary-higher floors tend to be quieter. Air conditioning and heating are centrally controlled, which may limit individual temperature adjustment. Rooms lack tea/coffee making facilities, mini-fridges, and ironing boards. Pillow and mattress firmness receive mixed feedback, though comfort is generally adequate for short stays.

The breakfast buffet offers continental options including bread, pastries, cold cuts, and coffee, with gluten-free alternatives available on request. The snack bar operates throughout the day, providing light meals, coffee, wine, and champagne (additional charge). Pets can accompany guests in designated areas adjacent to the bar during breakfast and dinner. Several independent restaurants are within a few minutes' walk, offering a variety of cuisines. The lack of an in-house restaurant means dinner options are limited to the snack bar or nearby eateries.

The park features walking paths and a dedicated dog agility area, making it a convenient spot for relaxing or exercising pets. There are no on-site wellness facilities such as a pool, spa, or gym. The hotel's shared lounge/TV area provides a space for downtime. For more active leisure, Salamanca's historic centre and its attractions are within walking distance.
