HOTEL SAVOY, Paris

The hotel is situated in the 14th arrondissement, a short stroll from the bustling Rue Daguerre market street filled with bakeries, cheese shops, restaurants, and cafés. Two metro lines are within a 5-minute walk, and the RER B line - providing direct service to both Paris-Orly and Charles de Gaulle airports - is reachable in under 10 minutes on foot. Major landmarks such as Luxembourg Gardens (2 km), the Rodin Museum (3 km), and Sainte-Chapelle (3 km) are easily accessible by metro or a pleasant walk. The area is well-served by buses as well, making car-free exploration straightforward.

Room types include singles, doubles, twins, and triples, all featuring a flat-screen TV, wardrobe, and free Wi-Fi. Most rooms have a private toilet and either a shower or a shared shower on the landing - four rooms do not have a private shower at all. Some rooms are recently renovated, while others feel older and dated. Noise insulation is minimal; room-to-room and street noise can be an issue, especially on lower floors or street-facing rooms. A fan is provided in summer as no air conditioning is installed. Bed sizes are compact, and some reports indicate mattress quality varies. The top floor (3rd) is reached by a narrow spiral staircase with no lift.

Breakfast must be ordered separately and is served in the room. The hotel does not operate a full restaurant or bar. The surrounding neighborhood, however, is exceptionally well stocked with bakeries (including one next door), cafés, and a wide range of restaurants serving various cuisines, all within a 2- to 5-minute walk. A street market on Rue Daguerre operates daily and offers fresh produce, cheese, and other provisions ideal for self-catering.

Free Wi-Fi is available in rooms and generally functions well, particularly on lower floors. The 24-hour front desk can assist with taxi bookings and holds luggage without charge both before check-in (15:00) and after check-out (11:00). The room key must be left at reception when leaving. The hotel is non-smoking throughout and does not accommodate pets. Accepted payment methods are Visa and MasterCard, though the city tax must be paid in cash. Daily housekeeping is provided, but consistency of cleanliness has been noted as variable.
