HYATT PLACE COLUMBUS POLARIS, Columbus

The hotel sits just off the highway at the Polaris commercial hub, placing multiple dining options within a 5-minute walk, including Outback Steakhouse, Starbucks, Tim Hortons, and Chop5. Shopping at Polaris Fashion Place is about a 10-minute walk. The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium and Six Flags Wyandot Lake are a 15-minute drive. John Glenn Columbus International Airport is roughly 20-25 minutes away by car. The freeway access makes it easy to reach downtown Columbus or Ohio State University in about 15 minutes. Parking is free and on-site, but reservation is required. The surrounding area is safe and well-maintained, with security patrols occasionally present.

All rooms feature parquet floors, a seating area with a sofa bed, a work desk, and a wardrobe. The bathroom includes a bath or shower with a hairdryer. Room types include Quadruple Rooms (2 beds), Family Rooms (3 or 4 beds), and Suites (with a separate living area and a kitchenette that includes a refrigerator and dishwasher in some units). Many rooms offer a view of the landscaped back area. Sound insulation is minimal, so road-facing rooms and rooms near the elevator can be noisy. The fan or air conditioner can help mask hallway noise. The 24-hour front desk can supply additional bedding and towels on request.

The indoor pool is heated and accessible via a pool lift for mobility needs. It is open daily from 06:30 to 22:00, with towels provided by the pool area. The fitness centre is well-appointed, including rowing machines, and is free for guests. A public bath and sun loungers or beach chairs are available for relaxation. Outside, a landscaped terrace with outdoor furniture, fire pit, and overstuffed couches provides a pleasant space for evening gatherings. The hotel is close to mountain bike trails at Alum Creek (5-11 km away). The pool can feel cold to some, but overall the leisure area is clean and well-maintained.
