IBIS BARCELONA PLAZA GLORIES 22@, Barcelona

The property is situated in a quiet, residential neighbourhood that feels safe at night. Two metro lines - L4 (yellow) at Llacuna and L1 (red) at Glòries - connect to Plaça Catalunya and Barceloneta Beach in under 10 minutes. The beach is about a 15-minute walk, and Sagrada Família can be reached on foot in approximately 30 minutes. The area has several local cafes, restaurants, and a Mercadona supermarket within a 10-minute walk. For airport transfers, take the Aerobus to Plaça Catalunya and then the metro (L1 to Glòries); a taxi from the airport costs €40-€50 and takes around 30 minutes. The hotel does not offer a shuttle service.

Standard double rooms feature two beds and can accommodate a maximum of three guests with an extra bed. The rooms are compact and basic - designed for sleeping rather than lounging, with limited space for luggage and no wardrobe for three people. Air conditioning works effectively in most rooms, though some units may require a room change if performance is poor. Soundproofing is partial: road-facing rooms can pick up street noise and corridor doors can be heard. A balcony is not available, and no minibar, kettle, or safe is provided. Daily housekeeping replaces towels and tidies the room. For a quieter stay, request a room facing the interior courtyard.

Breakfast is available from 06:30 and includes a hot and cold buffet with bread, pastries, ham, cheese, eggs, fruit, and hot drinks. The breakfast area can become crowded late morning. For other meals, the hotel has a bar and a coffee shop open until 23:00 that offers snacks, sandwiches, and drinks. A terrace provides outdoor seating. The surrounding streets contain several local cafes and restaurants within a short walk, serving a variety of cuisines. No full restaurant is on site, but the bar menu covers light meals.

The hotel's wellness offering is limited to a compact fitness centre with cardio and weight equipment, included in the room rate. For relaxation, the lobby has a table tennis table and a small indoor play area for children. Live sport events are broadcast in the bar. There is no swimming pool, spa, or sauna on site. The terrace and sun terrace provide outdoor seating for relaxing. Nearby leisure options include Barceloneta Beach (15-minute walk) and the Glòries shopping centre.
