The hostal sits on a pedestrianised street in the centre of the Gothic Quarter, a 5-minute stroll to the Liceu metro station and 10-15 minutes on foot to Plaça de Catalunya, where the Aerobus stops for direct airport transfers. La Boqueria market and Barcelona Cathedral are within a few minutes' walk, while Barceloneta beach is about 25 minutes away on foot. The surrounding narrow streets are packed with restaurants, bars, cafés, shops, and a supermarket right on the corner. Daytime and early evening the area is buzzing, but late-night noise from nearby bars and street activity is common, especially on weekends. The building entrance is on a side street, not the main photographed facade.

Rooms are compact and functional, equipped with a private shower (good water pressure), hairdryer, towels, and shower gel. Beds are comfortable but use lightweight frames; some mattresses and pillows show wear. All rooms have a window, but many face an inner patio or vent, limiting natural light. A few rooms have a shared internal balcony. Soundproofing is minimal: noise from the street, neighbouring rooms, and plumbing travels easily - earplugs are provided. Air conditioning units can be noisy. The lift is small (two people plus luggage). Bedding and towels are changed daily. Single rooms are very small; some have mould odour. Rooms with a street view have more light but more noise.

The hostal has no restaurant or kitchen, so all meals must be sourced outside. The surrounding Gothic Quarter is densely packed with dining options: Les Quinze Nits, La Cereria, Palosanto, and many others are within a 5-minute walk. A 24-hour supermarket is just around the corner for snacks, drinks, and self-catering supplies. Rooms have an electric kettle for hot drinks, but no fridge or microwave. The immediate area also offers a wide variety of cafés for breakfast and coffee.

The hostal does not offer a wellness centre, swimming pool, spa, or fitness facilities. Leisure opportunities are found entirely in the surrounding city: the Gothic Quarter, Las Ramblas, and the waterfront are all within walking distance.

The hostal provides free WiFi in rooms (reliable for browsing but can be unstable), a 24-hour front desk with multilingual staff, and daily housekeeping with towel changes. Luggage storage is free before check-in and after check-out, and a safe is available at the reception (no in-room safe). A lift serves all floors (small capacity - two people with luggage). The building is not adapted for guests with mobility difficulties; stairs may be required. Security is 24/7 with CCTV, smoke alarms, and fire extinguishers. The hostal accepts Visa and MasterCard. Airport shuttle service is not available - the Aerobus from Plaça de Catalunya is the recommended public transport option.
