IL ROMITELLO, Rome

The property sits in a quiet residential area away from the city centre noise. The Torrevecchia/Val Favara bus stop is 400 metres away and provides connections to Battistini Metro Station (Line A), allowing access to the Vatican and central Rome. The neighbourhood offers several dining options within a 0.5 km radius, including Pasticceria Gelateria Magnolia, Bambu Restaurant, and L'Apetta Ghiotta. The location is convenient for those with a car, as free on-site parking is available, and the Stadio Olimpico is a short drive away.

The property offers rooms with private bathrooms, family rooms, and rooms with balconies (availability should be confirmed at booking). Smoking is not permitted anywhere on site. Some rooms have been noted to be spacious, while others may feel compact for a triple. Operational issues such as mould, broken blinds, faulty air conditioning, and noise from interior corridors have been reported in some cases, so it is recommended to request a quiet, well-maintained room and confirm air conditioning functionality before arrival. Heating is available and air conditioning is present; daily housekeeping is included.

The breakfast buffet is included in the room rate and typically offers bread, pastries, cold cuts, cheese, fruit, and hot drinks. While the breakfast is generally considered plentiful and well-organised, some have noted that the selection can be limited and that hot items such as eggs may not be included in the standard buffet. The property does not have its own restaurant, but several dining options are within a 0.5 km walk.

Wellness and leisure options are limited to the outdoor spaces. The former convent grounds include a tranquil garden with mature trees, outdoor furniture, a picnic area, and a sun terrace. This provides a quiet area for relaxation away from the city bustle. There are no on-site sports, fitness, or entertainment facilities.

The property offers free Wi-Fi throughout and a free internet point in the lobby. Free private parking is available on site without reservation. Luggage storage is free of charge. Reception services include concierge, express check-in/check-out, and an invoice provided. Accessibility features include an emergency cord in the bathroom, lower bathroom sink, raised toilet, toilet with grab rails, wheelchair access, and a lift. Daily housekeeping is free; laundry and ironing services are available for an additional charge. A vending machine for drinks and snacks is on site. The property also has a meeting/banquet facility (additional charge) and a chapel/shrine. Pets are not allowed.
