A tram stop is 100 metres away, with lines 4 and 14 providing quick rides to Amsterdam Central Station in about 3 stops and direct access to the RAI Congress Centre. The Flower Market, most museums (including the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum), and the main sights of the city centre are all reachable on foot. The area is packed with bars, restaurants, cafes, and shops, making it ideal for travellers who want to explore the city without relying on transport. For arrivals from Schiphol, take the train to Central Station and then the tram; the hotel has no parking and no airport shuttle.

Rooms are uniquely decorated and vary in size; some are spacious while others are compact. Each standard room includes a private bathroom with a shower, hairdryer, and free toiletries, plus a desk, flat-screen TV, safe, and heating. Tea and coffee making facilities and an extra hairdryer are available on request. The building has no lift, so all rooms are accessed via narrow, steep stairs - typical for Amsterdam. Rooms at the front facing the square can be very noisy from bars and club-goers until the early hours; rooms at the back are significantly quieter. A portable fan is provided in rooms, but there is no air conditioning. Back-facing rooms are the best choice for light sleepers.

The hotel does not serve breakfast or operate its own restaurant, but the location on Rembrandtplein and around Thorbeckeplein means cafes, restaurants, and take-away spots are everywhere. Within a 5-minute walk you will find options such as Pelangi (Indonesian), Cafe La Bastille, Coco's Outback, Haddocks Catch, La Vaca, and La Madonnina (Italian), plus quick bites like Burgerfabriek. For a wider range, the city centre is just a short stroll away. Guests can also use the fridge in the hotel with limited private access to store their own items.

However, its central location means parks, museums, nightlife, shopping, canal cruises, and the Flower Market are all within walking distance.
