HOTEL JEANNE D'ARC LE MARAIS, Paris

The location places you in one of Paris's most charming and safest neighbourhoods, with easy walking access to Place de la Bastille (7 minutes), the Louvre (direct metro), and the Seine. Line 1 from Saint-Paul also connects to major sights like the Tuileries and Arc de Triomphe. The area is filled with boutiques, boulangeries, and restaurants-many within a 2-minute radius. Public transport is convenient: Saint-Paul Metro is a 3-minute walk, and Gare de Lyon is under 15 minutes by metro. Orly Airport is about 40 minutes away by public transport, Charles de Gaulle about 1 hour. The paid airport shuttle (€80/€60) is a useful option for ease.

Breakfast is laid out in the hotel's dining room, offering a simple but well-prepared range of pastries, breads, butter, jam, and hot drinks. The breakfast staff are consistently described as kind and efficient. Breakfast hours start early enough (before 9:30) to fuel a day of sightseeing. There is a small bar area in the same room where wine, beer, and soft drinks are available for a fee. The Marais neighbourhood is packed with restaurants and cafés a few minutes' walk away-including many well-reviewed options within 400 metres-so guests have ample choice for lunch and dinner.

The hotel's leisure proposition is entirely based on its excellent location. Guests regularly walk to Place des Vosges, the Seine, Notre-Dame (20 minutes), and the Louvre (accessible via metro). The surrounding Marais district has countless shops, galleries, and cafés. The 24-hour reception and free luggage storage make it easy to maximise time outside the hotel.

The hotel provides a practical range of services for a central city stay. The desk operates 24 hours for check-in, late arrivals, and security. Luggage storage is free and available before check-in and after check-out. Private check-in/check-out is offered. A paid shuttle service costs €80 for pick-up and €60 for return; for independent transfers, Orly is 40 minutes and Charles de Gaulle 1 hour by public transport. Daily housekeeping is included; additional laundry services come at a fee. The lift is small and stops on half-landings-access to some rooms requires climbing extra stairs. The property has no parking. Baby cots and electrical adaptors are available on request.
