LA QUINTA BY WYNDHAM ORANGE COUNTY AIRPORT, Santa Ana

The hotel is situated at the junction of the 55 and 405 freeways, 15 minutes from UC Irvine and under 20 minutes' drive from Disneyland and Angel Stadium of Anaheim (14 km). Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, and South Coast Plaza are all within a short drive. The area around the hotel is under construction, and the immediate walking vicinity has few dining options except a Tex-Mex restaurant next door. Free private parking on site makes car-based exploration practical, while the free airport shuttle serves John Wayne Airport only.

Guest rooms are non-smoking and feature a private bathroom with bath and hairdryer, flat-screen cable TV, large work desk, ironing facilities, and carpeted floors. The Executive King room includes a sofa bed. Room types include quadruple (1 bed), family (2 beds), and triple (spacious with bath and shower). Rooms are generally spacious and some have a separate sitting area. However, sound insulation is limited: road-facing rooms, thin walls, and noise from the pool courtyard can affect sleep. Many rooms show signs of wear - dated furniture, stained carpets, older appliances. The property does not offer rooms with balconies, terraces, or connecting doors.

The hotel offers a free Bright Side Breakfast® featuring waffles, eggs, sausage or bacon, bagels, muffins, fresh fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, cereals, coffee, and juice. Breakfast hours have limited evening service; breakfast concludes at 9am. The breakfast room can be crowded at peak times. No restaurant or bar is on site. A Tex-Mex restaurant is located next door, and several fast-food options are within 0.5-1 km (Wiener Schnitzel, Carl's Jr, Waba Grill, Mom's Donuts). Hot gourmet-style coffee is available around the clock in the lobby.

The hotel features an outdoor swimming pool (open 8am-10pm) and a hot tub/jacuzzi. Pool towels are provided. The pool courtyard is central to the building, which can amplify noise from splashing and conversation. The fitness centre is equipped for a basic workout. No spa or wellness centre is on site. The outdoor area includes a sun terrace, picnic tables, and an outdoor fireplace, providing some space for relaxation.

Wi-Fi is free in all areas and is generally reliable. Free private parking is available on site but requires a reservation. The property offers a free shuttle to/from John Wayne Airport (8am-8pm); no shuttle to other airports. A 24-hour front desk, express check-in/check-out, luggage storage, and an ATM/cash machine are available. The business centre and laundry facilities are on site. A mini-market is available for essentials. The property is wheelchair accessible with lift access. Pets are allowed with a limit of 2 per room at no additional fee. Housekeeping is not automatic and must be requested a day in advance for next-day service.
