The hotel sits off US-92 on the southern edge of Tampa, directly under an overpass with a busy road alongside. It is 9 minutes from MacDill Air Force Base, roughly 15 minutes from Tampa International Airport, and about 11 km from both Raymond James Stadium and Channelside Bay Plaza. Downtown Tampa, the Port of Tampa, and the Tampa Convention Center are all within a 10-15 minute drive. The Gandy Bridge to St. Petersburg is nearby, making the location practical for airport travellers, base visitors, and those moving between Tampa Bay cities. A few chain restaurants and a Walmart are within walking distance.

Standard rooms come with one king or two queen beds, a private bathroom, air conditioning, heating, a flat-screen TV with cable, and a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee-maker. Select suites add a spa bath or hot tub, and one room type (SNK4) includes a full kitchen. Road-facing rooms are louder due to the overpass; rear-facing rooms are noticeably quieter. Some rooms have been renovated with modern bathrooms, while others show peeling paint, worn furniture, and signs of water damage or mold. Beds are generally comfortable, but pillows are small. No rooms have a balcony or a water view, and there is no in-room safe.

The complimentary Bright Side Breakfast includes scrambled eggs, sausage patties, waffles, cereal, bread, coffee, and juice. The breakfast area is clean and seating is adequate. A few fast-food options (Applebee's, Dunkin', Burger King) are 0.5 km away, and a seafood restaurant is a 4-minute walk. No restaurant or bar operates on site, but a snack bar and vending machines with drinks and snacks are available.

The fitness centre provides basic equipment, though its availability has been inconsistent. There is no swimming pool, no hot tub, and no spa or wellness centre. A picnic area with outdoor furniture offers a quiet spot to sit. Nearby leisure options include Busch Gardens (24 km away), The Florida Aquarium, ZooTampa, and Raymond James Stadium. The pool referenced in some older descriptions is no longer present or has been removed.

Free Wi-Fi is available in all areas and is reliable. Free private parking is possible on site but requires a reservation. The lot is small and can be tight for larger vehicles. A complimentary business centre with fax and photocopying, a launderette, and daily housekeeping are provided.
