LIZZ HOTEL MUNICH, Munich

The hotel sits at Goetheplatz, with the entrance situated in a parking lot behind a Volvo dealership - a location that feels tucked away and keeps street noise minimal. The U-Bahn station is 50 m away, placing Marienplatz just two stops (5 minutes) from the door. Central Station is 2 km, and Munich Airport is 39 km by train (via S-Bahn and U-Bahn). Many restaurants, cafés, and bakeries are within a 5-minute walk, and the Oktoberfest grounds are also conveniently close. The area is safe and residential, offering a balance of city access and quiet sleep.

The hotel offers double and single rooms, each featuring a private bathroom with a shower (some with a bath), free toiletries, and a hairdryer. Rooms have carpeted floors, a seating area, a work desk, a wardrobe, and a minibar stocked with drinks (priced at €2). Inner courtyard views ensure most rooms are very quiet, while those facing the street may hear occasional traffic. The property has been recently renovated, so furnishings are fresh and clean. Rooms are compact but functional, with comfortable beds and good lighting; some are noted as spacious. There is no elevator, so rooms on upper floors require stair access.

Breakfast is served as a buffet with a diverse selection including fresh bread, pastries, cold cuts, cheese, eggs, yogurt, fruit, and hot drinks. The staff is known to remember regulars' coffee preferences and offer complimentary coffee even outside breakfast hours. A welcome drink is offered upon arrival. The hotel does not have a restaurant for dinner, but there are numerous dining options within a 5-minute walk, including Mediterranean, Japanese, Vietnamese, and traditional Bavarian cuisine.

The fitness centre is available for guests wishing to maintain their workout routine. The terrace provides a pleasant outdoor space for sitting with a coffee or a drink, with views over the inner courtyard. There is no pool, spa, or sauna on site.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel. Luggage storage is offered free of charge, both before check-in and after check-out. Room service is available for snacks and drinks. A bar and lounge area serve drinks and wine/champagne (special diet menus available on request). The on-site parking costs €12 per night and must be reserved in advance; no size restrictions apply beyond very large vehicles (e.g., trucks). Meeting/banquet facilities can be arranged for an additional charge. The hotel is non-smoking throughout and offers key card access and a safety deposit box for security.
