Hotel Details

Location

Situated steps from Karlsplatz (Stachus) in central Munich, the hotel is a 6-minute walk from Munich Main Station and within a 10-minute walk of Marienplatz and the Old Town.
The Karlsplatz S-Bahn and U-Bahn stations are a 2-minute walk away, providing direct connections to Munich Airport (via S8) and the Neue Messe exhibition centre. The tram stop is directly outside, making car-free exploration straightforward. The hotel is surrounded by restaurants, shops, and a dm drugstore. The Oktoberfest grounds are a 15-minute walk or a 3-minute U-Bahn ride. The area is lively day and night, though some groups loiter near the square after dark.

Dining

A daily continental breakfast buffet is available for an additional charge of 17 EUR. The hotel has no restaurant or bar on site.
The breakfast includes bread, pastries, cold cuts, cereals, and hot drinks. Selection is basic; hot items such as scrambled eggs or omelettes cost extra. Next door to the hotel there is an Italian restaurant and a pizza place, and within a short walk are numerous cafés and eateries including Mustafa's Gemuse Kebab, LeDu Happy Dumplings, and McDonald's. Vending machines for drinks and snacks are available in the hotel.

Amenities

Free WiFi is available throughout. Luggage storage and express check-in/out are complimentary. The hotel has a conference room and a tour desk.
WiFi is free but capped at 5 Mbps, sufficient for basic streaming and browsing. The reception is open from 07:00 to 23:00; after-hours check-in is possible with a pre-paid booking and prior notification. A safety deposit box is provided free of charge in each room. The hotel is accessible via a lift, though it may occasionally be out of service. Pets are allowed on request with possible charges; pet bowls and baskets are available. Smoking is not allowed inside; a designated outdoor area is provided. No parking on site; nearby garages charge 20-40 EUR per night. The property has CCTV and key card access for security.

Critical Operational Notes

  • Reception is open 07:00-23:00; late check-in after 23:00 requires a pre-paid reservation and phone notification for an entry code.
  • No parking on site; nearby garages charge approximately 20-40 EUR per night.
  • Breakfast costs 17 EUR per person; the buffet is continental with limited selection, and hot items cost extra.
  • Pets are allowed on request with possible charges; cats are not accepted.
  • No restaurant, spa, or pool in the hotel.
  • Rooms lack a kitchen, kettle, fridge, and balcony; electrical outlets are minimal (1-2, near the door or below the TV).
  • The lift is frequently out of service; upper-floor rooms may require using stairs.

Top Strategic Tips

  • 01

Use nearby parking garages such as Stachus Park Garagen (approx. 20-25 EUR per day) as the hotel has no on-site parking.

  • 02

Request a room facing the inner courtyard to minimise noise from traffic, trams, and the adjacent nightclub, especially on weekends.

  • 03

Bring a multi-plug extension cord; rooms have only one or two electrical outlets near the door or under the TV, and none beside the bed.

  • 04

Plan for breakfast elsewhere if you prefer a varied hot meal; the continental buffet is basic and charges extra for items like omelettes.

  • 05

Check in before 23:00 or arrange a late arrival in advance with a pre-paid booking; no night staff is available after that time.
