The property sits in a central yet secluded alley behind a lively square, directly between St Mark's Square and the water-bus routes. The San Zaccaria vaporetto stop provides direct lines to the railway station (vaporetto number 1) and Marco Polo airport via the ALILAGUNA BLU shuttle (get off at San Zaccaria, then walk 200 metres). Restaurants, cafés and shops are immediately outside the alley, including Trattoria Al Gazzettino, Cafe Florian, and multiple dining options within 0.5 km. Venice's major landmarks - the Ducale Palace, St Mark's Basilica, and the Rialto Bridge - are all within a short walk. The location is excellent for sightseeing and water transport but the alley itself is narrow, unmarked for the hotel, and can feel deserted at night. Finding the property requires locating Hotel Castello first, which handles check-in.

Rooms vary in size and layout. Standard double rooms have a private bathroom with shower and hairdryer, air conditioning, minibar, heating, trouser press, and ironing facilities. Smaller rooms face surrounding Venetian rooftops; others overlook neighbouring windows (limited privacy). Some rooms have two single beds pushed together to form a double - not a standard double mattress. The rooms are carpeted, which some find delicate. There is no soundproofing; walls are thin and noise from other rooms and the portable air conditioning units can be significant. Some rooms may have working air conditioning; others have portable units that are loud. Room cleanliness is generally noted, but some reports of dust on carpet and surfaces exist. The bathrooms are often recently renovated and described as clean and practical. Access to rooms involves steep, uneven stairs - no elevator and no ground-floor options. Room sizes vary from compact to generous, with some larger than typical Venice standards.

Breakfast is a buffet served at Hotel Castello, located just 10 metres from Locanda Correr's entrance. The breakfast includes continental, Italian, and gluten-free options, and is described as good value and served in a relaxed atmosphere. The property does not have its own restaurant; however, numerous dining options are within a 0.3-0.5 km radius, including Trattoria Al Gazzettino, Cafe Florian, Conca d'Oro, Il Ridotto, Pizza Crash, Rossopomodoro Venezia, Osteria da Bacco S.N.C, and Bar Trattoria San Giacomo.
