HOTEL LUXOR FLORENCE, Florence

The hotel sits directly adjacent to the main railway tracks, placing Santa Maria Novella station within a very short walk. The tram stop linking to Florence Peretola Airport is also within a few minutes' walk, making the hotel a practical base for travellers arriving or departing by train or plane. The historic centre, including the Duomo, Piazza della Signoria, and the Uffizi, is reachable on foot in 15-20 minutes. The immediate surroundings include several Indian, Middle Eastern, and Italian restaurants within 0.3-0.5 km. The area is busy and close to a traffic tunnel; some find the immediate neighbourhood less charming, but the proximity to major transport hubs and the exhibition centre makes it a practical choice for business travellers and those prioritising easy rail or tram access.

Rooms range from standard double/twin rooms to larger junior suites and studios with kitchenettes or a terrace. All rooms include a private bathroom with shower, bidet, and hairdryer, plus free toiletries. In-room amenities feature air conditioning, heating, soundproofed walls, a minibar, tea/coffee-making facilities, and a flat-screen TV with cable channels. Some rooms have a balcony, offering views of the city or the passing trains. The property is set within a converted apartment building with a mix of hotel rooms and private residences; some rooms are located in an annex across the street. Room sizes vary: while some are described as spacious, others are noted as compact. The triple rooms are well-lit and offer adequate space for a family. The hotel has an elevator, though some rooms are only accessible via stairs. The walls are reported as thin in some areas, and the proximity to the railway means train noise can be heard, though double-glazed windows help reduce it.

The reception is open 24 hours, with staff able to assist with concierge services, express check-in/check-out, and tour desk advice. Free luggage storage is available for early arrivals or late departures. Daily housekeeping is included at no extra charge. The property is secured with 24-hour security, CCTV in common areas, and key card access. There is an elevator serving most floors. Business facilities include free fax/photocopying. For families, board games and puzzles are available, and cots can be provided on request. The hotel accepts Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, CartaSi, and UnionPay. City tax is payable in cash only. The bar and coffee shop on site are small but offer free barista-made coffee throughout the day.
