MAINSTAY SUITES LAS VEGAS CONVENTION CENTER, Las Vegas

The hotel sits on S. Maryland Parkway, directly across from Sunrise Hospital with a crosswalk to the hospital's main entrance. Denny's is next door and a Dollar General is within walking distance. A Mexican restaurant, a Thai restaurant, and several fast-food options are within 1 km. The area includes a grocery store (Smith's) about 5 minutes away. The Las Vegas Convention Center is a quick drive away; the Strip is 15 minutes by car. The airport is roughly 15 minutes by car. The surrounding area may have some homeless individuals and litter; street construction near the hotel is ongoing. There is no airport shuttle, but free on-site parking is available and rideshare is practical.

All rooms offer a kitchen with a stovetop, microwave, and full-size refrigerator. Private bathrooms are standard, some with bath, others with shower. Each room includes a seating area, a high chair for children, ironing facilities, heating, and air conditioning. Some rooms have a sofa. Towels and linens may need to be exchanged at the front desk. Rooms are generally spacious and quiet, particularly corner rooms. Road-facing rooms may experience some noise from traffic and helicopters; the nearby hospital also produces occasional siren noise. The property is working on a full remodel, so newer rooms are better equipped. No rooms have a balcony.

Leisure facilities are limited to outdoor amenities including BBQ facilities, a picnic area, and outdoor furniture. There is no swimming pool, hot tub, or gym. A golf course is located within 3 km and requires an additional fee. The property itself is not a resort-style destination, but the quiet location and well-equipped kitchen may suit those needing a restful stay between hospital visits or convention events.

Internet is free throughout the property. Parking is free, private, on-site, and does not require a reservation. Daily housekeeping is complimentary, but you may need to request it at the front desk. Laundry facilities are available for a fee. Luggage carts require an ID deposit. Vending machines provide drinks and snacks. A fax/photocopying service is available for an extra charge. The property has a lift, rooms accessible for disabled guests, and family rooms. Safety features include CCTV in common areas and outside, fire extinguishers, and key-card access. Staff at the front desk are noted for being friendly and helpful, particularly for guests staying due to hospital needs. Private check-in/check-out is offered. There is no on-site security after Choice Hotels took over.
